Every January I seem to need a bit of a break in making art to reevaluate where I am going with my art journey. So it’s a good time to post a compilation of what I have created over the last year. My focus for the upcoming year is going to be pulling back a bit from social media — in particular Facebook and Instagram, and focusing more on my process and skill building. And hopefully share more of that on my blog!
Looking back at 2024, I have to admit it was really great year! I made and sold a LOT of paintings, got some great commissions, started exploring clay pottery and sculpture and playing with linocut print making. In addition I made a lot of new connections on the NextDoor App with local people who are so kind and supportive of my art, and I published my first Art Print Book (which was quite an ordeal, but I learned a lot!) So all in all, I am feeling very blessed.
Next month I will be exhibiting at Peoria Heights Library, and I am really excited to be able to share my art in a new venue. More to come on that next month!
Thank you for supporting my art journey! Enjoy the slideshow!
